Employment rights
Young people have different employment rights from an adult worker.
Depending on your age, there are rules that regulate your working hours, minimum wage rates, holidays and health and safety at work.

Disabled workers share the same general employment rights as other workers; however, there are also some special provisions for them under the Equality Act 2010, which replaced the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).

Jobs from the Kickstart Scheme are open to 16 to 24-year-olds, who are claiming Universal Credit and are at risk of long-term unemployment. If you have a JCP work coach, they will talk to you about the Kickstart Scheme and whether it's right for you. All the Kickstart vacancies are listed online by JCP.
