Social care
Everyone has the right to be assessed by social care; however, support offered is means tested, so accessing private support in some cases may be better suited to personal circumstances.
Social care can support residents with:
- respite care
- personal care (washing and dressing)
- day care
- TeleCareLine (assisted living technology)
- occupational therapy
- practical aids to help remain independent (such as equipment), accessing supported housing (such as sheltered housing, extra care and care homes).
Before you can apply for social care, you will need a social care assessment. This is to determine if you have eligible needs. To start a social care self-assessment, select the button below and complete our online form.
