Volunteer with London Wildlife Trust (LWT)
LWT manages a number of reserves on behalf of Hillingdon Council and is always looking for volunteers to help out with practical conservation at sites, including Ten Acre Wood, Gutteridge Woods, Ickenham Marsh, Frays Farm Meadows, Yeading Brook Meadows and Huckerbys Meadows.
The group meets Monday to Thursday, 10am to 4pm, and runs a programme of weekend morning opportunities.
Get involved in a range of activities, including keeping paths clear, repairing fences, rubbish removal and planting wildflowers.
Refreshments provided. Reasonable travel expenses are also covered and wellington boots can be provdided on the day, if needed.
