Preventing homelessness

If you are at risk of homelessness within the next 56 days, we could support you.

Our goal is to either prevent you from losing your home or to help you secure alternative accommodation. We'll work with you to create a Personal Housing Plan outlining the steps that you, our team, and other support agencies can take to help prevent your homelessness.

Based on your situation, this may include the following:

  • Providing legal advice
We can advise you on your legal rights if you have received a notice to leave your home. If staying isn't possible, we'll support you in finding other suitable housing options.
  • Negotiation and mediation
We can reach out to your landlord, family, or friends to help prevent eviction or exclusion, where possible.
  • Finding private rented housing
We'll assist you in finding suitable accommodation in the private rental market and provide help with deposits or rent in advance.
  • Applying for social housing
If you qualify, we'll guide you through the process of applying for council or housing association properties
  • Financial support
We can help you access Discretionary Housing Payments (DHP) or other funds to secure or maintain your accommodation.
  • Specialist support services
If needed, we'll connect you with expert agencies for support with issues such as debt management, mental health, domestic abuse, or substance misuse.
