Hillingdon Pension Fund
The Hillingdon Pension Fund is part of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
The LGPS is one of the largest pension schemes in the UK. It is a nationwide scheme for employees working in local government and qualifying employers who join the scheme.
Members of the Hillingdon Pension Fund include people who work for Hillingdon Council, and a range of other organisations, such as schools, academies, colleges, private companies providing services to public bodies, who have applied to be part of the fund.
The Hillingdon Pension Fund has 119 participating employers with more than 29,500 members and a fund valued at more than £1.25 billion (31 March 2022).
The primary purpose of the fund is to pay benefits to members.
Hillingdon Council is responsible for managing the fund as the statutory administering authority. The day-to-day provision of administration service to members and employers has been delegated to our partner Hampshire County Council.
