Family advice and support

There are a number of local organisations that provide advice and guidance to families and individuals. This support can include benefits advice, peer support groups, volunteering opportunities and advice about accessing special educational needs support.

DASH 

Dash is a local organisation that supports young people with disabilities to take their first steps into adulthood through an advice and support with regards to employability, welfare benefits and independence skills.

Hillingdon Autistic Care and Support (HACS)

HACS is a local organisation that specialises in supporting individuals with autism and their families.

HACS provides a range of services, including family advice and support, employability programmes and autism awareness training for employers and businesses.

Mencap

Mencap can provide support, advice and guidance to young people with learning disabilities and their families.

NDTi

NDTi has created a portal of resources for young people and families to help prepare for employment. This is part of Internships Work, a Department for Education funded programme.

P3 Navigator 

P3 Navigator provides young people with advice on housing, education, training and employment and hub in Yiewsley provides a safe space where young people can get support with their wellbeing.

Scope UK

Scope is a disability charity and can provide online and telephone advice and guidance on matters connected to disability, including advice about work and benefits.

SEND Family Support 

SEND Family Support is a new organisation designed to help support families caring for children and young adults with special educational needs. They are currently offering online support group sessions through Zoom, where families can share support and advice on a range of topics.

Hillingdon SENDIASS 

Hillingdon SENDIASS is a free, confidential, and impartial support service for parents and carers, children and young people (aged up to 25 years old) where the child/young person has, or may have, special educational needs.
