Paul Strickland Scanner Centre
Independent medical charity working to improve the lives of people affected by cancer and other serious conditions.
Paul Strickland Scanner Centre follows the latest recommendations issued by Public Health England and NHS England to keep you as safe as possible during your visit.
Everyone is asked to use hand sanitiser before entering the centre - it's readily available at all entrances - and to wear face masks - if you have one of your own, please bring it with you.
Those who have been to the centre before will notice real changes in our waiting room:
- stay 2 metres from others during queuing
- there's a red line on the floor to stand behind when talking to the receptionist
- perspex screens are in place
- chairs have been spaced out in the waiting area, so you won't be sitting too close to anyone else
Chairs, pens and clipboards are cleaned whenever they've been used, so they're ready for the next person.
The scanner will be cleaned before you get onto it and, again, once you're off it.
The same applies to changing rooms, which are cleaned between patients.
The staff you deal with - from receptionists to radiographers - will all be wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
