"We are working with the police and other partners to monitor the situation and prioritise the safety of our communities.
"We're committed to keeping Hillingdon a safe borough where our communities thrive and will not tolerate racism or acts of thuggery on our streets.
"Residents are advised to remain vigilant. Please give the police space to undertake their important duties and refrain from doing things which could raise tensions, including sharing inflammatory online speculation."
Anyone who is the victim of hate crime is encouraged to report the incident to the police.
Alternatively, anyone who witnesses a hate crime can report it at www.report-it.org.uk.

- non-emergency 101 - for reliable information which suggests a protest or gathering is planned in Hillingdon, neighbourhood disturbances and anti-social behaviour
- emergency 999 - if someone is in immediate danger or needs support right away.
